How Did I Get Here?

Becoming a Professional Portrait Photographer

I don’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have a camera in my hand — I’m not kidding. I can still picture the toy camera my parents gave me for Christmas when I was six.

Photography was never something I decided to love — it was just always there. Something I genuinely enjoyed, something that naturally became part of my everyday life.

In 7th grade history class — and honestly, I’m still not sure what this had to do with history — we were assigned to create a business. Can you guess what mine was?

Yep. A portrait studio.

My dad — who I absolutely got this passion from — helped me dream up every detail. I can still remember the blueprint I made and so many of the little pieces that brought it to life.

Did I ever think this would become my career?
No… absolutely not. It didn’t even feel like a real option at the time.

That changed when I started photographing seniors for a studio in Rhode Island and across Massachusetts.

35,000+ seniors later, I finally felt ready to build something of my own — just like I imagined back in 7th grade.

And now, 8 years later… here I am. A professional Photographer

It’s kind of wild when I think about the path that got me here — but I feel incredibly grateful that it did.

Quick Hitters

  • My husband, our dogs, afternoon sunlight in my dining room, coffee, real human connection.

  • Integrity, creativity, and empathy shape the way we work. These aren't just words—they’re the foundation of everything we build.

  • My husband and I traveled the country in a semi truck for a year and a half.

What I do for you

My role as your photographer is simple: to help you feel comfortable, confident, and fully present while your story unfolds naturally.

I love working with couples who are genuinely excited about the experience — the ones who are willing to let go, be playful, and actually enjoy it. Whether that looks like wandering through a field at sunset, running along the shoreline, or yes… even rolling around in the sand a little.

The goal is simple: to create a space where you can relax, laugh, and just be yourselves.

You get to be present in the moment.
I’ll make sure your story is captured beautifully.

There are not enough words to describe the role Meg played in our day. My FIANCÉE hired Meg to secretly follow us around Fenway Park to capture our engagement. She came fully dressed in her tourist wear with her sister, and kept just enough distance to take the best secret pictures, while being completely incognito. We have the best memories of our best day. 85 of the greatest pictures we’ll ever have. We’re so grateful for your talent, Meg. 10/10 recommend!

"Amazing and a pleasure to work with!

Meghan was AMAZING!! I’m so glad we worked with her. She and Tracy, her colleague, were so professional, but also laid back and relaxed. They helped everyone in the wedding party feel good in front of the camera, rolled with our quirky sense of humor, and fit right in with our family in a way that made the day go so smoothly. The photos came out GORGEOUS and we couldn’t be happier!! She was also super prompt getting our photos back to us and incredibly responsive to questions. We’d recommend her to anyone!"
